Crikvenica
Crikvenica is a tourist destination in Kvarner region near the City of Rijeka. The whole Riviera Crikvenica is kilometers long promenade. Along gentle and green coastal line dotted with sheltered coves, parks, villas and gardens, and in the direction of the lush, mountainous hinterland trails and hiking paths. The town beach is sandy and there are pebble beaches too in the city center, Dramalj beach to the peninsula Kačjak. Crikvenica Riviera consist of towns Crikvenica, Dramalj, Selce and Jadranovo. Crikvenica is known by family and health tourism but with numerous cafes and bars do not lack entertainment and nightlife. With clubs in the city center and the Crni Molo, you can treat yourself in one of the many restaurants, or go on a boat trip to the nearby Silo at island Krk. It is pleasure to walk along the rich green city parks, and stop at one of the many good restaurants offering fish and shellfish. At the Crikvenica Riviera there is a plenty of opportunities for sports activities such as sailing, surfing, diving or water skiing. Also, you can bring or rent a bicycle in the area because there are many bicicle paths arround. Historically, it belongs in one of the sunniest places in the Adriatic, with its 2500 sunny hours per year.
Dramalj
Connected to Crikvenica by a seaside promenade, Dramalj stretches all the way to the Kačjak peninsula. This area started being more intensively developed at the end of the 19th century, following the expansion of nearby Crikvenica. Dramalj is characterised by favourable natural characteristics – a mild Mediterranean climate, lush vegetation, a crystal clear sea and an abundance of hours of sunshine throughout the year. Accommodation is provided in numerous private villas, newly built properties and privately owned apartments, holiday homes and hotels. Dramalj boasts several well-tended beaches equipped with various facilities (some of these beaches have won awards for the best in Croatia), and a range of venues for entertainment and cultural events such as the Summer Carnival.
Selce
Selce is located in a picturesque cove next to Crikvenica, on one of the most diverse parts of the Adriatic coast. This seaside resort, once a village of fishermen and stonemasons, today makes an interesting holiday destination with a tradition of tourism reaching back more than a century. Selce has won many awards for the excellence of its tourism offer and the overall appearance of the town. It has also won the title of best holiday resort on Kvarner four times. In addition, it came second twice and first once (in 2002) in the "Blue Flower" campaign organised by the Croatian National Tourist Board for the best holiday resort on the Adriatic. Selce is a perfect place for pleasant summer holidays, with well-tended Blue Flag beaches, a wonderfully clean sea, a seaside promenade, and many cultural, entertainment and sporting events (folklore, concerts, painting exhibitions, fish festivals on the waterfront, sport-fishing for visitors, sailing regattas and much more). The town also has a diving centre with diving school and various water sport facilities. Selce can accommodate several thousand visitors in private homes and hotels, holiday villas and two campsites set amidst the area's beautiful natural scenery and crystal clear sea.
Jadranovo
Jadranovo is an attractive seaside resort, ideal for a quiet holiday. It is known for beautiful scenery, unspoilt natural surroundings, numerous coves and romantically secluded beaches. A coastal promenade and a network of walking trails criss-crossing the hinterland are just right for pleasant walks and recreation on hot summer days. Jadranovo is noted for its beautiful nature, for its tranquil pine forests and seaside walks, for quiet coves and beaches, for its crystal clear sea and crisp fresh air. The area's long tradition of welcoming visitors, its hospitable people, beautiful scenery and comfortable accommodation in family homes, as well as fine gastronomic choices, are just a small part of what Jadranovo has to offer its visitors.
Novi Vinodolski
The very spirit of the town of Novi Vinodolski is its rich cultural heritage: the dilapidated walls of the Lopsica Roman fortress, the ruins of the former Pauline monastery, the Frankopan castle with its tower, the cathedral, the church of the Holy Trinity and the church of St. Marin on the small island of the same name, the house of the Mažuranić brothers, the public reading room and library from 1845, the local museum, Turnac town gallery, the unique Glass Chapel, the old part of the town, and the preserved authentic folklore of this region.
The traditional hospitality of local people, crystal clear sea, choice of beaches, absence of industrial pollution in the town and its surroundings, numerous vineyards, places to hunt, fresh mountain breezes billowing gently from the woods in the town's immediate hinterland, well-tended biking and hiking trails, belvederes and promenades – all these features give Novi Vinodolski Riviera great ecological advantages, especially for the development of tourism, hotels and restaurants.
The area's hotels, campsites, holiday villages, private apartments and rooms can accommodate more than 10,000 visitors daily. Various additional amenities are provided in the hotels and in their immediate vicinity, such as: sporting and recreational venues, indoor and outdoor seawater pools, saunas, diving centres and other facilities. Particularly worth mentioning is the 5-star "Novi Spa Hotels & Resort" which has one of the biggest and best-equipped wellness centres in Europe. Visitors coming especially for the area's gastronomic delights have a good variety of restaurants and typical taverns to choose from.
Tribalj
A beautiful lake gives Tribalj special charm. Tribalj is paradise for fishermen, hang-gliders and paragliders, as well as cyclists, walkers and hunters. St. Mary’s Church in Tribaljsko polje is mentioned in history as the place of judicature according to the Vinodol Codex. Glagolitic rolls confirm it. An early Croatian necropolis from the period between the 8th and 11th century was dicovered in the area around Stranče, a part of Tribalj. The necropolis contained numerous exhibits which are preserved in the Maritime and Historical Museum in Rijeka.
Grizane
Grižane-Belgrad is one of four settlements in Vinodol municipality. Located under the ruins of the Frankopan city and the cliffs of the "Griža", after which they were named. The old town was damaged in 1323 when a severe earthquake struck Vinodol. Round towers were added in the 15th century, and today only the remains of the once famous castle are visible. The Greek castle had an irregular square shape, with round towers, and this irregularity was caused by specific terrain. There was Prince Martin who founded the coastal port which was named Crikvenica. In May, you can taste the famous Greek cherries, and taste homemade zhlatina for Martina.
Rijeka
Rijeka is the largest Croatian port, the third largest city in Croatia and the administrative center of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. The city of Rijeka and its surroundings has 191,641 inhabitants. In the 19th century, due to the ideal geographical location and depth of the sea in the Kvarner Bay, the Hungarian government developed Rijeka into one of Europe's largest ports and a powerful industrial center. In the early 1990s, industry and port traffic declined, so in the new century Rijeka began to turn to the development of tourism and the service sector.
Barat
Barat is a village in the western Istria, between Rovinj and Poreč, within the Municipality of Kanfanar. It is located above the Lim Channel, above the Lim Channel. Ledenice
Ledenice is a place in the town of Novi Vinodolski, situated in a valley between mountains, surrounded by hills and green meadows, ideal for resting and hunting wildlife.
Jošan Udbina
Josan is a small town near Udbina, Lika-Senj County. It is located in the area of Krbavsko polje in Lika. It is located on the Zagreb - Zadar road, a 30-minute drive from Plitvice Lakes National Park. In Udbina there is the famous Church of the Croatian Martyrs. The vast expanse of the Krbavsko Polje is an ideal livestock breeding and hunting game and as such is one of the richest hunting grounds in Croatia and Europe.
Fužine
Fužine is located 700 meters above the sea, in the southwestern part of Gorski Kotar, surrounded by picturesque mountains, the silence of centuries-old coniferous forests and the beauty of its lakes. From its inception to the present day, Fuzine can thank the development of a very good traffic location and proximity to transit routes - once the Carolina road, which connected the inland to the coast, the railroad, and today the Zagreb - Rijeka highway, which shortens the road to the sea by only half hours. It is a real pleasure to spend the summer at the seaside and spend the night in the pleasant mountain air in many accommodation facilities.
Seline
On the vast plain, between the beautiful pebble beach and the amazing Mala Paklenica Canyon, is the village of Seline, a place of preserved simplicity. It is connected to the town of Starigrad by promenades and hiking and biking trails that pass through picturesque hamlets in the mountainous hinterland.
Udbina
The town of Udbina, the old name of Krbava, with about a thousand inhabitants today. Udbina is a place located in central Lika, on the highway Zagreb - Split, at almost equal distance from both cities. The municipality of Udbina borders with the municipalities of Plitvice Lakes, Gospic and Gracac. The municipality is surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks, of which the following are worth noting: Zeblin, Rudi Lisac, Kremen, V. Rteševo, Veliki Brusnic, Javornik, Komaca. All these unspoiled mountains offer great opportunities for the development of mountaineering, rural, hunting, eco and other types of tourism. The greatest wealth of this area is undoubtedly Krbavsko polje, which is located at the foot of the settlement Udbina. In the same field there are over 5000 ha of arable land suitable for cultivation of various crop and vegetable crops. Particularly interesting are the abysses of the Krbavica River, as well as Murta Lake. The Krbavsko field is surrounded by vast pastures that offer the possibility of intensive livestock farming, which is a centuries-old tradition of this region. Udbina is also close to Plitvice Lakes National Park (45 km), North Velebit National Park (50 km), Una National Park (40 km), Velebit Nature Park (40 km). As it is extremely well connected with the rest of Croatia, it is very easy to get to Udbina. It takes 2 hours to drive from Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, while it takes just over an hour from Zadar or Sibenik.
Pula
Pula is the largest city in Istria, has a long tradition of viticulture, fishing, shipbuilding and tourism, and is also a transit port. Pula has been the administrative center of Istria since the Roman Empire, best known for its Pula Arena, the largest preserved monument of ancient architecture in Croatia.
Ičići
Icici is a small tourist village with about 800 inhabitants, located in the northern Adriatic, in the Kvarner Bay. The place is 5 km from Opatija and 15 km from Rijeka. It is located at the foot of Mount Učka, which is 1401 m high and whose environment has been proclaimed a nature park due to its special nature and beauty.
Paljuv
Paljuv is a village within the Municipality of Novigrad, in Zadar County.
Povile
On the Adriatic highway from Novi Vinodolski to Senj, two kilometers southeast, there is a small tourist village Povile. The place is radiated by the crystal clear sea, a beautiful pine camp at the beginning of which is a small church of St. Magdalen. This bulging cape was named Punta Mandalena. The place is a cheerful peculiarity that captivates the smell of the resinous pine trees bathed in seafoam lace. This is paradise for those who like to camp. In this place, in the shade of pine trees right next to the sea, far from the city bustle, almost everyone will feel robinson's. There is a beautiful view on all sides of how the land and the sea come together. A long promenade leads to Muroskva on the one hand towards Novi, and the other arm of the promenade leads to a small local berth for mooring boats. Before the port is a pebble beach. Concentric circles are observed along the surface of the water indicating the location of numerous water sources. Breaking through the stone, the water has found its way and springs right here. If you are thirsty, feel free to quench your thirst. And swimming in this place during the heat of summer will provide an exceptional experience, and especially a pleasant refreshment. From the harbor stretch small landscaped beaches. The southern part of the island ends with the settlement Dugno, which offers a view of neighboring Klenovica. If you want to take a walk along the north side of Povila, above the highway you will experience some parts of untouched nature, you will find dry walls, the so-called the rattles that people used to enclose their possessions with, and some courtyards will visit you in Italian Tuscany.
Bribir
Bribir is a village in Croatia. It is located between Novi Vinodolski and Bakar, in Vinodol municipality. The road to Bribir from the direction of the sea leads to the so-called "Paradise Valley". Bribir was once the seat of the princes of Krk - Frankopan, built on the hill where it served as a fort. The remains of the old walls and the city tower are reminiscent of the time of the princes of Frankopan, whose four centuries of rule left deep spiritual and material traces in Vinodol. Renaissance works of art in the church of St. Peter and Paul testify to the high level of cultural and civilizational reach of medieval Bribir and its strong ties to Europe.
Kraljevica
Kraljevica is located in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, about twenty kilometers south of Rijeka at the entrance to Bakar Bay, at the intersection of Rijeka - Split and Zagreb - Krk roads, so that passengers from the interior have first contact with the sea in the City area.
Zagreb
Zagreb is the capital of the Republic of Croatia. Zagreb is the cultural, scientific, economic and administrative center of the Republic of Croatia and the Zagreb County. Zadar Posedarje Podgradina
Otok Krk Šilo
Silo is a tourist place located on the northeast side of the island, opposite the Crikvenica Riviera (26 km from the Krk Bridge). Although Šilo is today a tourist center of the Dobrinj region, it has always been a fishing and maritime place. The first ferry on our Adriatic coast sailed from Šilo to Crikvenica. Silo celebrates its day on August 16, on the feast of St. Roch, which is a continuation of the tradition, which began in the middle of the 19th century, when the plague ravaged our region. The inhabitants of Šilo, like the others, vowed to St. Roch to spare them the plague, and from there vowed rock processions from Polje to the church of St. Nicholas in Silo. There are no hotels in Šilo, accommodation can be found in rooms and apartments of family houses and in the campsite. In addition to landscaped (pebble and partly concrete) local beaches, there are numerous recreational facilities. The Blue Flag is flying on the sandy beach of Pećine, which is suitable for children. Especially attractive is the diving tour of the sunken Greek ship Peltastis, whose underwater site is located near Silo, and it is there that the island's diving clubs take divers on a tour. On the line of the former ferry, today there are speedboats and smaller boats.
Drivenik
Drivenik is the smallest town in the Vinodol municipality. According to the 2001 census, it has 373 inhabitants, along the road that connects Novi Vinodolski with Bakar and Rijeka.
Throughout history, Drivenik was known as a small town-fortress on the high hill Glavica, where the beautiful Frankopan castle has been completely preserved to this day. The name Drivenik was first mentioned in the Vinodol law in 1228. Next to the hillfort, which is an exceptional tourist attraction and is in the function of numerous cultural and artistic events, is the votive church of St. Stipan and the parish church of St. Dujma.
